RV Brown is a native of Cayce, South Carolina. He is the sixteenth of seventeen brothers and
sisters. He attended Airport High School, where he lettered in five sports.
RV received his B.S. degree from South Carolina State University. He played football all four years.
He received certificates of training from Community Intervention, Inc., Minneapolis, Minnesota. He
also received a certificate from Morehouse School of Medicine on Drug Abuse in the Community.
RV taught special education for several years in the Chattanooga Public School System. During
that time he coached football and girls' basketball at Brainerd High School. He also coached football,
basketball, wrestling, and baseball at Howard High School. He was voted Baseball Coach of the Year for
Chattanooga City Schools in 1983.
RV worked with Project 714, a chemical prevention/intervention program for
schools, for three years (1985-1988). Other achievements include:
- 1988-1989 Outstanding Young Men of America
- Co-Host for the North Georgia Sports Reports
- Appeared in several TV Productions and Commercials
- 1987 Man of the Year Award
RV is a motivational speaker in schools and on college campuses throughout America. He also speaks
at rallies, conferences, workshops, and camps. He challenges and motivates people of all ages to be the best
they can be.
RV founded Outreach To America's Youth, Inc. in 1988.
In 2002, RV was inducted into the FCA Hall of Champions.
